2013 Conference Recap
The 2013 Rocky Mountain Early Childhood Conference was a resounding success! There were 2,000 folks in attendance throughout the conference. Attendees had over 200 workshops to choose from, and 64 vendor booths to visit.
In addition, Dr. Patricia Kuhl gave a wonderful keynote on brain development at Friday’s lunch, and at Saturday’s lunch, Kathy Buckley have a heart-wrenching keynote on the impact that teachers have had on her life.
A new feature this year was the Exhibitor Stage where attendees watched demonstrations, learned new information, and heard the jazzy sounds of Dotsero at Friday night’s reception.
ECEA was proud to award the “Dan Kingsbury Award” for excellence in early childhood to Kathie Maxwell from Children’s Haven for her work with teen parents. This non-profit center is a 3-Star, Qualistar-rated program operating since 1988, and has been continuously dedicated to helping teen parents finish their education while receiving high quality care and education for their children.
