Dr. Michael K. Meyerhoff - “The Power of Play”
This keynote, “Helping Parents Understand and Appreciate the Power of Play,” will give participants tips for transforming well-meaning but misguided mothers and fathers from occasional adversaries pushing for highly-structured, academically-oriented activities into enthusiastic partners in play-based early childhood education programs.

He is author of “Bright Start: Activities to Develop Your Child’s Potential,” coauthor of “The Complete Book of Parenting” from Publications International; and the author of 18 booklets on a wide variety of child-rearing topics produced under the general heading of A Parent’s Guide by the William Gladden Foundation. His articles have appeared in numerous publications for parents and professionals, including American Baby, Young Children, Parent & Preschooler, Psychology Today, and Educational Leadership.
