Discount First Aid, Universal Precautions, & CPR Training

The Early Childhood Education Association of Colorado has partnered with Life Rescue CPR to provide First Aid/CPR/Universal Precautions trainings at a discount to our members. You do not need to be a member to participate.

The next class will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2010 and will be held at 6175 W. 38th Ave., Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. The deadline to reserve space for this class is Wednesday, May 12. Please note you will not be allowed to take the training if you have not paid in full before the courses begin, and there is no lunch break between courses. All dates, times and locations are subject to change.

CAEYC Offering ECE 101 Through CCD

CAEYC is pleased to offer through the Community College of Denver "ECE 101 Introduction to Early Childhood Education," in conjunction with the fall CAEYC conference. The class is three (3) college credits. This will help you towards obtaining the licensing requirement of six (6) credits for the new group leader qualifications.

CDHS-Approved Group Leader Course

The Clayton Early Learning Institute is offering a course that has been approved by the Colorado Department of Human Services for adults with a BA who work with children but need ECE coursework to qualify for group leader status. This 90-hour course will substitute for ECE 101 plus one other ECE course to meet new CDHS requirements for group leaders.  It will be offered either as non-credit training or for graduate level CEU’s through the University of Colorado at Denver. Credits may be transferred to the MA program in early childhood education for qualified individuals.
