October 2026 Member & Impact Snapshot

Together We Are Stronger · We are the workforce behind the workforce
About this snapshot: Figures were pulled October 30, 2026, two days before the month closed. Membership counts are a live roster read. Totals that build day by day (Kajabi revenue, community activity, website and social reach) cover October 1 to 30. Google Search and Google Business Profile figures arrive by email and will be added as a monthly update once those reports land.

Membership Scale

This is the footprint of Colorado's licensed private child care businesses that ECEA represents in the room. The bigger this number, the more weight behind every advocacy conversation with legislators and state administrators.

269
Licensed private child care programs
Member programs statewide, plus 9 affiliate partners counted separately.
26,055
Licensed child care slots
The combined licensed capacity our members are approved to serve.
34
of 35 State Senate districts
Members sit in 34 of Colorado's 35 Senate districts and 62 of 65 House districts, so nearly every legislator has a member constituent.
Counted on the same basis as prior dashboards (licensed private child care programs, with affiliate partners listed separately), membership is holding steady month over month: 270 programs in September and 269 now. Spread across almost the entire state legislature, that reach is exactly what makes ECEA's voice carry at the Capitol.

Membership & Momentum

New owners keep choosing ECEA. 53 programs have joined in 2026, including 3 in October. Every new member is another business that decided ECEA's partnerships and advocacy are worth it.

Programs by year joined: 2021 had 91, 2022 had 50, 2023 had 31, 2024 had 28, 2025 had 18, and 53 new programs so far in 2026. The 2026 pace is already ahead of the last two full years, a sign the value message is landing with owners.

Member Composition

ECEA speaks for the full range of private programs: large centers, home-based providers, school-age care, and faith-based and independent schools. That breadth is the advocacy advantage, because no single provider type can be dismissed as a special case.

Geographic Reach

Members in 28 counties and 62 cities mean ECEA can show up as a local voice almost anywhere in the state, from the Front Range metros to mountain and rural communities.

State Program Integration

ECEA's members are deeply woven into Colorado's public early childhood system, which is precisely why their voice belongs at the table when those programs are shaped. Acronyms spelled out below.

217
Participate in CCCAP
The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) helps lower-income families afford care. 217 programs, about 81% of the roster, accept it, serving families who most need it.
194
Participate in Universal Preschool
194 programs, about 72% of the roster, deliver Colorado's Universal Preschool (UPK) program, the free preschool year for families.
Colorado Shines (the state's quality rating and improvement system) ratings on the roster: 115 members hold a level 4 or 5 rating, the top tier, with the rest spread across levels 1 to 3 or newly rating. High quality plus deep public-program participation is the case ECEA carries to funders and legislators.

Retention & Departures

Most of this year's departures trace to one event: the 2025 to 2026 move onto the Kajabi platform, when a wave of members did not reactivate. That wave is tapering steadily, from 29 departures in January to single digits now: 4 in September and 3 in October.

3
Departures in October
Two were leadership transitions (new directors, one planning to reactivate) and one a financial decision. Down from 4 in September.
142
Departures in 2026 (year to date)
Members who came off the roster over the course of the year.
64%
Tied to the platform move
91 of the 142 were members who did not reactivate when ECEA migrated to Kajabi in 2025 and 2026.

From July 2025 through June 2026, ECEA moved its membership onto Kajabi, and a large group (91 of 142) never activated on the new platform; those non-conversions are the bulk of this year's departures. The wave is tapering steadily: 29 in January down to 5 in August, 4 in September, and 3 in October, so the roster of 269 programs is on firmer footing heading into 2027.

Revenue Sustainability

Membership revenue is what lets ECEA keep fighting for owners. Auto-pay memberships give the association a predictable base it can plan and advocate against year-round.

September runs high because annual renewals and conference revenue land then, so October stepping back to a normal month is expected, not a warning sign. ECEA's year-to-date net position stays positive. The October figure is a snapshot through the 30th; the month was not yet closed.

ECEA Members Community Activity

The online member community is one more place owners get support without feeling alone. October was a quieter month in the community, after a busy September of meetups and conference activity.

16

3

This is a natural seasonal dip after a heavy September. The opportunity for next month: a scheduled meetup or discussion prompt reliably pulls activity back up, and that engagement is where members discover the partnerships that save them money.

Web & Social Presence

This is how owners and directors find ECEA on their own. Owned web traffic and social reach side by side show the top of the funnel: every view is a chance to turn a searching owner into a supported member.

Views reflect the full custom October range. Engagement, Follows, and Messaging are Facebook's trailing 28-day figures (Oct 2 to 29), which is how the platform reports them. Zero messaging simply means members reached ECEA through other channels this month.

Google Search & Google Business Profile

These two reports (Google Search Console clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and position; and Google Business Profile views and discovery) arrive by email and had not landed when this snapshot was built. They will be added as a quick update as soon as the emails come in, including the branded-versus-category search read that shows where new reach is coming from.
