Administrative and Legislative Advocacy
Administrative and Legislative Advocacy
Every day, CDEC administrators and Colorado legislators are considering decisions that impact your business. They talk about actions needed due to state budget cuts. Frequently, those conversations are based on perspectives that are unfamiliar with our industry.
ECEA is at those meetings, elevating your voice by providing the facts about the industry. We don't let un-informed statements stand that aren’t factual. We make documents and data transparent so that anyone can learn about Colorado’s complicated child care system.
For you, as a member, we track and evaluate over 600 bills that are proposed annually in the state legislature. Then we share this data and our related views with you through our Member’s Only Update.
Likewise, we have regular meetings with the CDEC that is in charge of policies, licensing rules and enforcement. So when existing or proposed policies become troublesome, we’re there to provide insight and feedback.
Facing a nightmare situation? ECEA provides guidance and advocates personally for you with CDEC representatives. We have a proven track record of assisting programs with prompt issue resolution.
For as little as $8 a month, you can support, and be supported by, ECEA
