Status Update

Adams County - ECPAC is very interested in making this happen! They are working on their Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approach. Reach out to them directly to offer your support. Email [email protected]

Arapahoe County - The County is going to make SB24-002 a part of their economic development plan that they intend to work on starting early in 2026. Michelle Halstead can make sure to engage anyone interested. Her email is: [email protected]

Denver County - The Denver Early Childhood Council is working on making this happen! Reach out to them directly to offer your support by emailing: [email protected]

Douglas County - The Douglas County Commissioners have approved the investigation of the possibility of providing a rebate of all or some property taxes based on Senate Bill 24-002. Please complete this Google Form to let me know your interest.

Jefferson County - Triad Bright Futures is working with members to support a plan to implement this initiative in Jefferson County.  Contact Jennifer Anton at [email protected]

ECEA's Work Was Critical in Passing SB24-002

Our lobby work and the support of members got this initiative passed.  We are still researching more immediate ways to accomplish the waiving of your property taxes to make the mixed delivery system more equitable.  That will require a constitutional amendment.  Why are you not in membership helping to effect change?
