Executive Director-Dawn Alexander

ECEA advocates on a systems level with the Office of Early Childhood, the Governor's office and the state legislature as well as other systems advocates statewide. We participate in numerous statewide committees in order to provide a consistent voice for child care businesses. ECEA maintains a bold stance in support of issues that directly impact the child care industry. ECEA of Colorado represents child care businesses in over 15 ongoing collaborative stakeholder meetings statewide on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.

Dawn attends these meetings and gathers information to share out in weekly updates. She hosts Let's Talk sessions, etc. to connect members to the critical information they need to know.

Dawn has a Masters Degree in Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.  Her undergraduate degree is in Sociology and Human Services.
