Programs are Closing Due to CCCAP freezes and UPK Enrollment Losses
While the industry at as a whole is sustaining (based on the number of programs and their capacity) we are losing hundreds of programs every year to permanent closures.
ECEA's is Working to Bring an End to CCCAP Freezes
We are advocating for additional transparency in CCCAP data on the local level. We need to know the number of children and families served in each locality with a freeze or wait list. We are working with the state to get that information and will share it out with our members. That will help us to determine a rough per child estimate and to see if any county has an extremely high cost per child, indicating that they can serve more children.
