Stop Blending In.
It’s Time to Stand Up and Stand Out.
A message for Colorado’s community-based child care providers who are ready to compete—and win.
Let’s be direct: families in Colorado are being pulled toward the path of least resistance. They drive past your center every single day on the way to enroll at the neighborhood elementary school’s pre-K program. It’s familiar. It’s free. It requires no research. And if you don’t give them a compelling reason to choose you instead, many of them won’t.
This isn’t a quality problem. Community-based providers deliver extraordinary, individualized care that school districts simply cannot match. This is a messaging and innovation problem. The school district has a building with a sign. You have something far more powerful: flexibility, deep relationships, and the freedom to adopt tools that transform how families experience early childhood care. It’s time to use that freedom.

“Parents don’t default to school districts because it’s better. They default because it’s familiar. Your job is to make the unfamiliar irresistible.” |
The Innovation Gap Is Your Competitive Advantage
School districts operate at the pace of bureaucracy. Curriculum committees, board approvals, multi-year procurement cycles—change in a public school can take years. Private child care programs move at the speed of children. You can adopt a transformational new tool this month, train your staff next month, and show families real results by spring.
That agility is not a small thing. It is your competitive moat. And right now, three innovations are separating forward-thinking Colorado providers from everyone else.
🧠EFgo by Reflection Sciences — Executive Function AssessmentsResearch-backed data on how each child’s brain develops. At the lowest price in the nation. Executive function—the ability to focus attention, hold information in mind, and control impulses—is one of the strongest predictors of a child’s long-term success in school and life. Yet most preschool programs have no systematic way to measure it. EFgo by Reflection Sciences changes that. Using play-based tasks that children experience as games, EFgo produces reliable, research-validated data on each child’s executive function skills—giving you a cognitive profile no checklist or report card can provide. Colorado providers can access EFgo for just $20 per assessment—the lowest price in the nation. That’s a research-grade developmental tool at a fraction of the cost of competing systems. When you can walk a parent through a real cognitive profile of their child—not just “they’re doing great”—you become irreplaceable. No school district pre-K program is offering that conversation. |
📷 StoryLine by Playtag — AI-Powered Play Observation & Behavioral InsightsThe world’s largest early education behavioral dataset, now working for your classroom. And if you hurry....you get massive discounts for your program during their pilot.----ACT NOW, THIS ONE HAS A QUICK TIMELINE. StoryLine by Playtag is an AI agent for preschools built on a foundational insight: “Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood” (Friedrich Fröbel). The challenge? True play observation—watching every child constantly and objectively—is nearly impossible for a teacher managing a full classroom. StoryLine makes it possible. Using discreet classroom cameras and proprietary 5D AI technology, StoryLine continuously observes each child’s physical activity, play preferences across 8 activity types (literacy, dramatic, art, blocks, science, math, music, and active play), and social interactions with peers—all without interrupting the natural flow of the day. The AI is trained on 7 million+ hours of early education behavioral data, the world’s largest dataset of its kind. What your program receives: Monthly Child Assessment Reports identifying each child’s unique play behavior type (one of 8 research-based profiles), developmental trends over time, play preferences compared to class peers, and personalized “Play Together at Home” activity guides for families. Teachers also receive Class Assessment Reports with class-wide data, integrated group play activity designs, and daily insights via mobile and web app—accessible to directors, teachers, and families alike. When you can hand a parent a data-driven developmental portrait of their child—complete with behavioral trends, peer comparisons, and personalized home activities—you are communicating at a level no school district pre-K program can approach. StoryLine transforms what it means to truly know a child. |

💚 Amaze Health — Whole-Child Health for Enrolled FamiliesYour program partners. Parents invest. Every child stays healthy and on track. A child cannot learn effectively if foundational health needs are unmet. Vision, hearing, nutrition, motor development, and wellness milestones all directly affect school readiness. Yet most child care programs have no structured way to support families in tracking and acting on their child’s health between pediatric visits. Amaze Health changes that partnership. When your program joins Amaze Health, you unlock the ability to offer the Amaze Health app to every family enrolled in your program. Families access the app at their own cost of $36/month for the entire family—making this a zero-burden benefit for your program to offer. Through the Amaze Health app, parents can monitor key developmental and health milestones, receive personalized guidance on keeping their child healthy and on track, and flag concerns early—before they become obstacles to learning. The parent becomes an active partner in their child’s wellbeing, not just a bystander waiting for the next well-child visit. For your program, the message to families is powerful: “We don’t just care for your child while you’re at work. We connect you to tools that keep them thriving around the clock.” No school district pre-K program is offering that level of whole-family partnership. The Time to Elevate Your Program Is Now
Colorado families deserve to know that their best option isn’t their most convenient one. But it’s on us—as an early childhood community—to show them why. When your program implements EFgo, StoryLine, and Amaze Health, you’re not just adding features. You’re sending a message that no school district can match:

CO UPK Providers Told Us What UPK Ratio Decreases Would Do to Their Programs
Here's the General UPK Data from the state that we put together for you.
Here's what Ratio Decreases would do to the industry.

Senator Scott Bright --Fighting for YOU at the CO Capitol
At the 3rd reading of the clean up bill for CDEC (HB26-1259), Senator Bright got the 3 year old language removed from the bill! The Senate approved this amendment this morning.
The amendment in itself doesn't change the way the 3 year old services function for the time being if it goes through full passage DOES keep the school districts from being able to further entrench their carve outs in statute, helping us potentially bring a solution to the table next year when we have a new Governor with new priorities. Way to go Senator!!

See how to access benefits on our members only website under the Member page or email [email protected] for help. If you aren't working with these partners, you are very likelly losing money every month. We have additional partners that can help too. Schedule a conversation with Dawn to discuss!
